What makes us different?
Coast to Coast Fulfillment is a true omnichannel fulfillment provider. This means we can do it all, and we do it well. With a 30-year proven track record of wholesale and retail fulfillment, we’re well acquainted with ever-evolving requirements put forth by retailers. Finding a 3PL fulfillment partner that can adhere to these B2B fulfillment guidelines while keeping up with the daily demands imposed by D2C orders is critical for growth. Our proven expertise makes Coast to Coast Fulfillment an ideal partner for brands seeking to optimize their supply chain.
The Benefits of Omnichannel Fulfillment
Centralized Inventory Management
Consistent Customer Experience
Increased Flexibility and Responsiveness
Cost Efficiency and Reduced Storage Footprint
Retail Fulfillment Distribution Models
Direct to Store Delivery (DSD)
Direct to store delivery requires your fulfillment partner to ship products directly to each retail store location without passing through a distribution center (DC). This model allows for faster replenishment of stock and has continued to grow in popularity as retail chains fight to minimize inventory carrying costs.
Distro
Distro orders are bulk-shipped from our warehouse to the DC, where the products are stored, sorter, and later distributed to various retail store locations.
PRE-DISTRO
Similar to DSD, pre-distro requires us to pack orders to the store level. After each store order is packed, the cartons are consolidated on pallets and shipped to the retailer’s DC. This model can require many man hours.
Dropship
Dropshipping allows your business to partner with an online retailer to display and sell your product, without the retailer holding the inventory. In this model, your 3PL fulfillment partner will receive the order, pick the products from inventory, and ship directly to the customer on behalf of the retailer.
Outsourcing Retail Fulfillment
As your business continues to expand, a strategic retail fulfillment partnership is necessary. At Coast to Coast Fulfillment, we’re no stranger to the various requirements imposed by each distribution model.
In the same week, we’ll handle pre-distro orders from Target that require us to pack to 1,800 store orders, ship thousands of dropship orders generated from retail dot com stores or flash sales like Good Morning America, and fulfill countless D2C orders. In true omnichannel fashion, we make it easy for your team to pursue sales from a multitude of channels.
Considerations for DSD, Pre-Distro, and Distro Fulfillment:
Robust labor force required
Detailed coordination between 3PL fulfillment partner, retailer, and transportation provider
Complex routing and scheduling requirements
EDI compliance often required
Flexibility to accommodate unit picks, case picks, and palletized shipments
Unique unit ticketing and carton labeling requirements
Bulk return handling and processing
Considerations for Dropship Fulfillment:
Complex inventory management
Increased requirements imposed by the retailer
Stringent fulfillment and ship-by deadlines
Customized packing slips often required
EDI Compliance in Retail Fulfillment
EDI is extensively used in automating the retail fulfillment cycle. Many big-box retailers require their suppliers to communicate via EDI for both bulk wholesale shipments and drop-shipments sent directly to consumers. EDI compliance and order processing can be quite cumbersome, complex, and costly to manage in-house. If you plan to scale your business and work with big-box retailers, strategically partnering with a 3PL that can meet your future EDI needs is necessary. As your B2B fulfillment partner, Coast to Coast Fulfillment will manage the entire process on your behalf, ensuring your brand always remains EDI compliant.

What Our Clients Are Saying
“Rare Beauty Brands, Inc. (RBB) began using Coast to Coast Fulfillment’s services in March 2014 and they have been a strategic partner for us ever since.
The wide range of services they offer such as their EDI and system capabilities, to accommodating customer specific labeling and packaging requirements, and ability to process large volume mailings for events has allowed the RBB business to scale not only from a B2B standpoint but also with DTC and Amazon.
The one service that has been key to our business is their kitting capabilities. This has allowed us to participate in retailer annual events, offer holiday as well as channel exclusive product kits without the need to commit to the MOQ’s that are driven by our manufacturers. It also gives us the flexibility to react quickly to upticks in core product sales when unforecasted opportunities arise.
In the past 10 years I have recommended many other companies in the beauty industry to CTCF and they have also been extremely pleased with the partnership.”
